Greetings to you. I want you to know that my footsteps begin to walk to Waitara then to Wanganui. On the 19th day of August I will commence to walk. I am also writing in case you can send some men for me, but I leave that for you to arrange. It rests for you to decide because the arrangement is for your good and depends on your people and their matua (head or chief). Be brave all of you and do not be afraid, but keep straight on and trust in God of thousands and thousands. I am (signed) Titokowaru.
